Production Associate - CHARLOTTE, NC

We are growing our production team!

We’re looking for a “super utility” individual to join our rock stars on the production floor.

Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, packaging beer (includes canning, kegging, and bottling), cleaning kegs, all aspects of raw materials handling, transfer of finished beer, fermentation monitoring, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP, general sanitation, and warehouse organization.

  • · Canning Line Operation: Operate all aspects of Wild Goose canning line, including filling, CIP, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Training will be provided, if the candidate does not have the necessary experience.

    · Preventative maintenance & general facility projects

    · Execute cleaning, sanitation, and preparatory tasks for tanks to receive finished beer

    · Rack beer into kegs and casks as directed by Head Brewer

    · Clean and maintain all cooperage on a regular basis

    · Follow best practice and safety requirements dutifully

    · Attend brewery staff meetings as required

    · Possess a well-rounded knowledge of brewing and beer styles beer knowledge

    · Willingness to participate in festivals and promotional events as needed while representing the company and the brand in a professional manner

    · Perform all job functions within the structure described in the employee handbook of policies and procedures at HopFly Brewing

    · Ensure that all beer is produced and packaged to standards and specification by following recipes and procedures as set by Head Brewer

  • · Direct brewery experience preferred but not required

    · High school diploma - Formal brewing education preferred, or college degree preferred

    · Ability to work and communicate well with all staff

    · Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills

    · Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting

    · Valid driver’s license

    · Ability to safely operate a forklift

  • · Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder height

    · Lift 110 lbs from ground to waist height and moving 150 lbs. along the floor

    · Stand for up to 8 hours continuously

    · Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders

    · Work in small and confined spaces

    · Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations

    · Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations

    · Read, write, and calculate basic algebra

BARTENDER - CHARLOTTE, NC

We are looking for an enthusiastic beer-loving person to serve as a part-time bartender at our Charlotte taproom. They must be available on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday specifically.

While previous bartending experience is favored, it is not required.

The bartender is expected to be self-motivated and accountable for the great customer service as well as adhere to the standards, protocols, and culture of HopFly Brewing.

  • Be knowledgeable of all HopFly products while serving them and offering customer service at the highest level. to maintain taproom cleanliness and to be respectful towards co workers, the customers, and the space. here

  • · Serve beer and cocktails

    · Understand and perform good keg maintenance, with an ability to change, lift, and clean kegs.

    · Complete opening and closing checklists as well as monthly cleanings.

    · Work both general taproom business as well as internal events.

We are looking for an experienced and organized person to serve as our Charlotte and surrounding areas sales representative. This is a unique opportunity to join the sales team at a world-class brewery in Charlotte and contribute directly to its growth and success. The sales representative is expected to be self-motivated and accountable for the success of the territory assigned, as well as adhere to the standards and protocols of Hopfly Brewing.

  • Your primary focus will be to sell Hopfly beer to on- and off-premise retail accounts, as well as assist with brand partnerships, events & festivals. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, human relationships between customers and our brand, in order to maximize sales and growth.

  • · Work to maximize sales within self-distribution territory and achieve or exceed specific sales goals.

    · Build an account base and develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out and adding new accounts.

    · Visit and meet with accounts on a weekly basis to take orders and monitor product levels.

    · Meet/exceed sales goals set for assigned territory.

    · Attend and build awareness for our brands through occasional festivals, product tastings, promotional events, etc

    · Perform sales activities in compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations.

  • Minimum one year of beer sales experience

    · Must have a valid driver’s license.

    · Excellent communication & relationship building skills.

    · Must be organized and punctual, with outstanding time management skills.

    · Exceptional team player and a strong self-starter

    · Must be 21 years of age or older.

    · Must be passionate about craft beer!

    · Strong customer service skills and a positive, supportive, and collaborative attitude.

    · Must have a reliable car that can be used for travel to accounts within territory,

    · Passion for craft beer and knowledge about craft beer styles and current trends

    · Knowledge of the Triangle market and surrounding areasion
